“We all watch in horror and consternation what’s going on in the United States. It is a time to pull people together, but it is a time to listen, it is time to learn what injustice is, despite progress over years and decades.”
I can’t find better words then the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. If we are honest, we all know racism. Psychologists explain it as a deep-rooted fear in us, which arises more when we feel insecure or fright is ruling us.
So let’s do everything that helps people to overcome insecurity and fear, let’s support each other, let’s help all humans to find internal stability and security. Let’s enable people to live a courageous life. Every one of us has to work on his/her patterns to overcome racism and to take a step to grow together. “We, too, have our challenges…” Trudeau says about Canada, which is the same for Germany. “We need to see that and take action…. We can be part of the solution on fixing things”.
Racism starts where the Coronavirus outbreak is blamed to Muslims after they celebrated the sugar feast, forgetting that also in two Christian churches in celebrating the Sunday service it was transmitted immensely – not to talk about restaurants and the slaughterhouses where it spread.
Racism starts in lots of little gestures, words, jokes – and it ends with police infringement.
So let’s take care of the little things we do, we think, we say in our life, to overcome separation.
I will do it for myself, my country, and for my friends in the US who are so far away but so dear to my heart that I can feel the pain they are going through.
